MEET THE FAMILY
AMANDA GREER
Amanda is not only an owner/ operator of Greer Acres Family Farm, but is also a mother to triplets and a full-time pediatric nurse, as well. She enjoys tending to our gardens and making our homemade mixes and jams and jellies, when she’s not at her job in the city. She is our resident “Crazy Chicken Lady” and enjoys raising birds for eggs and meat. Growing up, she was never a country girl, but has learned to embrace it and there isn’t much of anything she isn’t willing to learn to do!
MICHAEL GREER
Michael has always dreamed of living on a farm, ever since growing up in the city. He has made his dream a reality and is proud to be an owner/ operator of Greer Acres Family Farm. When not tending to the farm, he is also a full-time EMT and father of triplets. He has found a knack for canning and enjoys helping with the jams and jellies. He’s always ready to lift heavy farm objects and lend a hand where needed. He is instrumental in processing our own pastured poultry as well!
THE TRIO
Annelisa, Michaela and Brendan are 12 year old triplets. They help out on the farm wherever Mom and Dad need them. All three kids are active in Union County 4H and show fancy chickens. Annelisa, specifially, has raised ducks, turkeys and now rabbits for 4H. Brendan has raised meat chickens for 4H, but there are always plenty of extras for our farm as well. Michaela enjoys helping with our egg chickens and is exhibiting them for 4H, as well as rabbits. All three enjoy taste testing our jams and jellies, but Annelisa especially loves helping to can it as well. They all also love to taste test any new mix products that we produce. Come see them all at the upcoming Farmer’s Market and also the Richwood Independent Fair!
